I completely forgot aboot it.
looked like it might be okay, too.
ah well.
maybe in re-runs...
other plans for the night.
guess it's a new one (on TNT)
anyway-saw a few Spawn Toys in it.
A 12" Tortured Soul and a Spawn (Movie) Graveyard playset.......
reminded me of all the people on the Spawn board asking for King figures......
who doesn't want figures made of his characters.......
who's using Todd's figures to kind of set the mood of his flick........
very circular
part 2's on tonight, btw
I usually can't stand SK flicks, but this one might be OK~

Yeah I watched the 1st half last night. Not sure if I like it as well as the original? Will wait until I finish the second half tonight before I decide.
they are playing it again in full on the 26th starting at 2 going to 6.
Okay, I missed the very first few minutes. Actually, I started watching the first part while the credits were still rolling, but somehow still managed to miss this - why was Meers in the hospital in Detroit? What did the orderly/nurse think he did? And why was the priest there too?
Overall I thought it was pretty good, but there were a lot of areas where it seemed choppy, with some weird editing.

Just finished watching pt 2.
Not too bad. Definitly had some "Ooooo, Ohhhh, ouch" moments (esp the table saw scene).
OK after watching Salems Lot remake the last two nights I can say it was a noble effort but lagged sadly compared to the original movie. I cannot speak for the accuracy of the new film (or old for that matter) compared to the book since I have not read it (will be reading soon though). But some of the things I didn't like about the new film vs the old were
spoiler (click to view):

the fact that they show Barlow (the master) very early in the movie and that he was very human looking with only long teeth and weird eyes when he was in vampire form. As compared to the original Salems Lot the master wasn't shown until much later and was very creepy looking still humanoid but pasty blue/white in complexion, and he had the very long freeky fingers with huge finger nails. By showing barlow early in the remake and leaving him almost human just took away from the scare factor for me. Also my only other complaint was how during the begining and middle part of the movie the vampires were very fast and agile, and towards the end they all looked like zombies and were slow and stupid??? I was like what the fuck!??

Anyways if you are a Stephen King fan check it out if you can.
In the beginning of Part 1; we see Meers attack the Priest in a Detroit Homeless Shelter. The struggle and both fall out a 2nd story window. Based on eye witness reports, the Doctor correctly blames Meers. He asks him; "Why should I even bother to save you?" Meers proceeds to tell the story of Jerusalem's Lot.Originally posted by Michael Crawford:

I've seen the original movie and I'd like someone who's read the book give an opinion on which (if either is closer. Given the treatment of Shining and Tommyknockers; I dont take the movies as adequate representations of the books anymore.
